I personally do not know what is the right question to ask them, if I can have a chance. Too often those areas come the only place that they can build their house, and I do not know what could be their reasons for them to choose that area. There are so many reasons that come to my mind when I saw all their face, but do not know if all my reasons could be the same as their reasons. One reason has come to my mind when I writing this essay is that they have no choice to choose that place because of their family economy. My second reaction was about their health. Most of people who living in there right now are getting sick from that water that they are using. That water has been polluted with so many sources and come from many different places. The mostly important, the governments do not try to find a way to help them with the water. There are so many ways that I believe that they can do, but they did not want to do it. My lastly reaction was that many organizations from around the world, which are trying to fix that situation. They had been trying to do so many things from the areas such as money, program, and show example for people on the field. I had been acknowledging about some organizations that they re mostly focusing on the young people because they want those children growing in the safe environment. Do you know that so many young born children are dying because the bacteria in the water? On my conclusion, my country is facing with the biggest issue and we are really needed to fix it. Cambodia is the most wonderful country for all tourists to seek for new adventures, and we need our next generation children to keep our country to grow in future. Water pollution issue need to be stop, and we need to work together as Cambodia to stop it.

Now this is not a reliable source when trying to prove if evacuation was a success or not. This is due to the fact that during the war the government had emergency powers. This gave them power all over the newspapers. So this meant that the newspapers posted propaganda about how successful the evacuation was. In the picture, there are all smiling faces, and no signs of a resistance. It almost looks like the kids want to be evacuated. This photo has been used to give an overall positive impression of the evacuation. Now in the picture, the kids look happy, but in reality there was a lot of resistance against evacuation. Parents didnt want their kids to leave them, and kids didnt want to leave their parents. In Grimsby, more than seven thousand children were eligible to be evacuated, but on the day only 1,854 children had been evacuated. Showing that there was a reluctance to evacuate children. In the evening telegraph it even described the evacuation as Though some omnipotent pied piper had been thought the cities of England, stripping them of their children. Source B is a teachers recollection of being evacuated with her children from her school. Now this has to be looked at carefully, as it was written a while after in 1988. Now memories could be different. She explains, All you could hear was the feet of the children and a kind of murmur. This shows that the children arent the smiling people as shown in the papers. This shows that they werent really pleased about leaving their homes and families to live with complete strangers. This could also not be reliable because it could be over exaggerated. Source C is an extract from a novel about evacuees. Now before we analyse this we have to take into consideration that this was written for the younger audience. So facts could have been altered to make the story more interesting. First of all, we can rely on this source too highly as it is a fiction piece, which is made up. And also it will not be too graphic as it is intended for the children. Secondly it was written in 1973, nowhere near the time of the war. Source D is an appeal for more people in Scotland to provide homes for evacuee children. Now this source was probably published in a newspaper. Seeing as first looks at it, it looks like propaganda. In the passage, it is trying to get more people to take evacuees in. It does this by saying two of the strongest words ever, thank you. These words are the words that most reach out to the people, as humans like being appreciated. Now after they feel good form the thank you, thats when they appeal to you to get those sweet looking children in the picture. But it wasnt like this. Some of the children contained lice, and some had never had a bath in their lives. Some of them were under clothed, some had came in all the clothes they had. These mislead people thinking that they would get a nice quiet child, clean and happy. Instead they got unhappy crying children, suffering from chronic bedwetting. Source E is an Interview with a parent in may 1940. Now 1940 was the beginning of the bombing of the cities began. And during the text, you can see that he was reluctant to evacuate his child, and kept him with him in the end. As you can see from the way he speaks, he has a lack of knowledge and therefore is scared of the unknown; he has no concept of what it would be like to live in the shires. You can tell that he knows if the kid goes away, he knows that the dad dies, and the kid will come back to no family what so ever. This is a useful source because it gives us an idea of what the parents thought about the evacuation. I agree with the fact that the evacuation was a success. It kept the children safe, but the Evacuation failed in keeping the children mentally safe. Most parents who preferred to keep their children with them instinctively realised what was not known: That sending off young children could have serious repercussions.

It is vital to understand the importance of learning ethics in the modern society. Innumerable cases of unethical conduct points to the fact that the country is suffering from a strong moral perspective. Therefore it is my belief that the University of Maine as an educator of the next generation should have a more active policy to instill its student body with ethics. As of 1996, the University of Maine (UMaine) has required its undergraduate students to enroll in a series of courses that full fills a general education (Gen-Ed) criterion. This Gen-Ed criterion includes several subject areas including the study of ethics. According to UMaine’s Gen-Ed guidelines updated in May of 19961, a course would be qualified as an ethics Gen-Ed if the course satisfies the following requirements. 1. Courses that satisfy the ethics requirement have one or more of the following attributes: a. They teach methods of ethical analysis; b. They deal intensively with ethical issues associated with a particular discipline or profession; c. They engage the student in the study of ethical questions arising through the interpretation of literature or history, or social scientific analysis designed to include ethical evaluation. 2. Programs that undertake to integrate the treatment of ethics throughout the required curriculum may submit to the General Education Committee (GEIC) evidence that the program overall meets the Ethics requirement. Explain the main differences when communicating with adults, young people and children: The main differences between communicating with a child, young person or adult is our tone of voice, body language, facial expressions, gestures and the vocabulary we use. We need to adapt these depending on the age, needs or ability of the person we are speaking too. If we are communicating with a small child we may do this by either playing a game, reading a story, using silly voices or playing with toys or puppets.When communicating with a young person this is done differently as we would need to adapt our tone of voice, and the words and phrases we use as a young person has a more varied vocabulary. We need to ensure that we allow a young person to vocalise ideas and feelings as they can do this in a greater depth. We can give a young person more complex instructions and they can also appreciate jokes and word play. We can read more complex things with a young person such as poetry or factual books.We can discuss past events allowing them to give detailed accounts with varied expression and emotions. With regards to communicating with an adult this would be done slightly differently as we would normally do this by having a conversation face to face or by telephone, going out to a social event together or by texting or maybe email. We also need to consider the differences when communicating with anyone from a different culture or social background.This is because some words or phrases that may be acceptable to one community may not be acceptable to another. We need to always be aware who is around us to prevent us from causing offence. We need to be aware that the way we communicate may not be acceptable to everyone for example if someone was communicating using offensive language and the other person replied with the same language then this would not cause offence, but if they said this to someone who does not use offensive language then this may upset them.

Robin Warde, Interim Director of Alumni Relations, said the concern was the small number of original student applicants. Warde noted that only 5 members of the class of 661 had been interviewed and said, "something different needed to be done". Doan and Levin resigned their position as finalists in protest of the move to reopen the process. In a letter to the administration announcing their withdrawal they noted that, "we are questioned, not on our merit, but on our diversity". While no one on the campus discounted the need for diversity, committee member Michael Oliveri supported Doan and Levin and contended, "we feel it inappropriate at this point in the process to be forcing it in". He felt the changes should have been made in the following year. It was apparent that the board had been remiss in addressing this problem sooner. According to Warde, they had been concerned over lack of participation in previous years. Musgrove and Warde, however, waited until the finalists had been selected to make the last minute changes. Musgrove had some misgivings and expressed the "wish that timing could be different". She continued to encourage Doan and Levin to stay in the process and viewed their withdrawal with "disappointment and dismay". Doan and Levin stated that the controversial process was a, "blatant contradiction to the values, like character, and ethics that the institution stresses to the students in all aspects of the Bryant experience and community". They also made it clear that they would support whatever candidate that was appointed to the important position and asked only that the Young Alumni Trustee recognize the injustice and commit to questioning poorly made top down decisions.
